Awe inspiring and atmospheric ruins greet you, as does the peacefulness which is very striking, somewhere to forget about the credit crunch, even if only for a short while ! Its not just romantic ruins but 36 acres of parkland, wildlife areas, ponds, and 2000 years of history and legends – King Arthur is even rumoured to be buried here !
In winter there are snowdrops, in spring daffodils and bluebells; wildflowers in summer and then wonderful autumn colour. Don’t forget our costumed guides too, from March to October – groups can pre-book their performance !..... and our outdoor summer Café ( from May to September). New for 2010 is the newly conserved St. Patricks Chapel, adorned with medieval style wall paintings, to look as it might have done when first built in 1524.
A great place for groups all year round.
