Carers UK is the leading campaigning, policy and information organisation for carers. There are currently 6 million carers in the UK, providing unpaid care by looking after an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend or partner. Carers give so much to society yet as a consequence of caring, they experience ill health, poverty and discrimination.

We want to improve carers’ lives and help them get the practical, financial and emotional support they desperately need. Last year we directly helped more than 1 million carers through our free helpline, website, local branches and our annual Carers Week and Carers Rights Day events.
