Amber is residential and helps young people on the edge of society who are homeless and unemployed to develop the skills and confidence they needed to find direction in life, employment and permanent accommodation. It helps them overcome personal barriers and equips them with the tools to lead fulfilling, independent lives. Every year around 130 young people come to Amber because they want to turn their lives around – and for the last four years over 80% have successfully done so. The philosophy is simple. We focus on practical teaching, respect, responsibility, dreams and desires, setting goals and working to achieve them, making friends and having fun.
